Words Just Cannot Express!
Leona has definately learned some new and interesting noises in the past couple weeks. My least favorite is the high pitched squelching/scream at the top of her lungs. In fact, last night we were at Noodles and Co. and she successfully isolated us on one half of the resturant with those squeals. No literally, there were us on one side of the resturant and the other half was FULL of other customers! Come to think of it we've had some pretty embarrassing moments at Noodles and Co. The last time we went, Leona had a massive, blowout poop and daddy had to carry her back through the seating area naked (with the exception of a diaper). Good thing I always pack and extra outfit (or 2). I have to admit that it was extremely hilarious when the people we were eating with took on look at Joe walking back to the table with a half naked baby and all they could say was "something must have gone very wrong." Anyway, here's our latest trick: ZERBERTS. If any of you have seen my facebook video of her and daddy doing zerberts you'll understand how she learned this cute as a button move. ENJOY!

Tattoo
Spending the day with my bestie, Lora, getting our new tattoos!
I've always wanted a tattoo, but couldn't think of anything worth permantly inking my body for. That is, until I had my daughter, Leona. I wanted to represent the bond between a mother and her child. This is the progression from sketch transfer to finished product. After about a month, the tattoo will be completely healed and the redness will be gone. It was totally worth it!
It is amazing to me how you can't even see the original tattoo! I'm really excited to see her with a finished product!

The original picture that inspired my tattoo
Lora is covering up a tattoo done when she was a teenager. It has significant meaning to her, but wasn't represented well. Because of the size and detail it will take 2 sessions to complete. This is the first session and it took 5 hours! It was touch and go there for a moment...Here's some pics from Lora's tattoo starting with the original:

New Furniture
After almost 4 years of hand-me-down living room furniture, Joe and I finally broke down and got some new digs! I've never gotten to hand pick the fabric before. Check out what we bought!
Loveseat
Chair and Ottoman (I love this because it's big enough for two)
Joe and Leona chillaxin' on the couch
T.V. console and hutch (still needs somemore nick nacks)
And, yes, that's Shrek on the screen.
How it all came together!
Sad Sick Days
Well the Pearcy's have forged thru their first battle with baby illness. Leona started getting sick last Tuesday with a mild cough that got a little worse by the next day. We went to the pediatrician on Wednesday just to find out she didn't need anything then, but to expect to come back in a few days. By Friday she was having full blown wheezing, congestion, a nasty tight cough. Back to the doctor's office. I can't confirm or deny that I didn't listen to her breath sounds with my stethescope. After a chest xray (which looked like a medieval torture device) and a breathing treatment at the office we were sent home to due Albuterol treatments every four hours awake. Apria delivered the nebulizer, and mama did her first breathing treatment with baby girl. Here's a preview of Friday night:

Sad eyes
Everytime Joe would try to give her a treatment she would end up in hysterics and sob her way thru the whole thing. When I would do them, she would always fall asleep in my arms. Sometimes mommies are just what we need when we're sick.
"Mommy makes me feel better"
Giving mommy a helping hand
By Saturday she was coughing so bad that she was vomiting. She projectile vomited all over Joe and the bedding I had just washed and ironed the day before. Occasionally, she coughed so hard she sounded like a little old woman. By that night, she had some signs of respiratory distress. After a talk with her doctor she recommended we be seen in the ER. Off we went! And, courtesy of Murphey's Law, by the time she was seen her symptoms had subsided. They gave her another treatment and sent us home. She gave Joe and I quite a worrisome day. Of course, by Sunday she was starting to act like herself again and her cough had significantly gotten better! The saying that "it's different when it's yours" is so true.

Indianapolis Zoo
We just couldn't pass up the opportunity last weekend to take Leona to the Indianapolis Zoo for the first time. We even invited some friends of ours to tag along with us which made for a fantastic day! The weather was beautiful and the kiddos had an awesome time (well, however awesome a time 2 infants could have). At least Even seem to enjoy himself. Here are some pictures from our animal kingdom adventure:
