My little Gerber baby!
So, maybe it was bedtime
2. Playdate!!!
Thanks to Katie, who graciously allowed a houseful of "on the move" babies visit, we had a fantastic playdate. All of Leona's friends were there. Andrew, one of the oldest out of our group, was just facinated with Leona's toys...regardless if she was in the middle of playing with them. She was very willing to not only share her toys but her snacks as well. I was just crawling with lil' crawlers when I brought out the apple cinnamon puffs. And, I tried my hardest to catch Avery with a smile, but that girl had other plans. She just was not interested in postponing playtime for pictures. Here's some pics from our adventure:

3. Playing with our food
So, my sister-in-law gave me some fresh cucumbers from her garden and I wanted to somehow let Leona try them. I concocted some crazy idea to saute cut up cucumber in apple juice with a little cinnamon. It didn't sound too bad at the time. After it was all cooked I slopped it into my food processor and pureed it. Well...it apparently was not all that tasty b/c Leona was not having it one bit. Instead of just pitching it, I decided to put the cucumber puree on her highchair table and just let her play. And, maybe I added some mashed potatoes too. After her food finger painting session she got a much need sink bath. It was a terrible mess, but totally worth it to watch her have so much fun playing with her food.
Get it girl!!1
"Ahem"....this was also a lesson in feeding...
4. Nice weather calls for a trip to the park
This was Leona's first time in a swing and she LOVED it!!!
Who couldn't just love that face?
5. Head Trauma
Well, Leona successfully got thru her first head CT (w/o sedation I might add). She managed to kung fu roll behind one of our end tables, grab ahold of the lamp cord and pull that sucker right down on top of her head. Thank goodness her CT came back negative. After her eventfull day, I treated her to some McDonald's Yogurt Parfait and a little fresh air at the park. I'm sure this won't be our last XRay of some sort.

6. Last Lake Michigan trip for the season
The weather was gorgeous when we arrived Friday so we saddled 'er up and headed out to the lake for a sail. Unfortunately, the weather was not near as cooperative on Saturday, but we made the best of it watching college football snuggled up inside the boat. Later that night Joe and I took a walk out to the pier head that night. The wind was gusting so bad that there were about 6 ft swells inside the channel, white caps, and waves were splashing up over the pier head. We walked out there with nothing but a dingy, useless flashlight. Kinda risky now that I think back on it. Can't wait for next season when we're corraling a walking toddler!!!

We went to visit Meme and Papa for lunch today (yes, this actually occurred on the same day I'm posting) and decided to tinker around with some tunes. All I can say is she's a natural! She takes after her momma.
